I gotta confess, a good portion of last week, I was kinda in a FUNK, a little cabin fever, a little depressed... did the bare minimum with the kids, put off projects, binge watched netflix shows til 2am, and just didn't want to get out of bed. I guess I had gotten the quarantine blues, if that's a thing. But, I snapped out of it (thanks to my hubby & my bestie) and I'm back to the grindstone. Thank GOD!
Yesterday, one of my orders from Etsy was for a wall art piece I had created years ago! I forgot I even had it up on my shop. But, happy I got it and happy for the reminder, that "Every little thing gonna be alright!" This was one of my favorite Bob Marley songs. I used to sing it to my oldest daughter when she was little, which resulted in this wall art piece I made for her bedroom.
I cut all these out with the CRICUT and adhered all the pieces together with Beacon Zip Dry Glue. To be honest, I usually use Scotch double sided tape, literally for everything. Over the years, I've used well over a dozen types of adhesives and the double sided tape was my "go to" mainly because it was easy to apply and most of all, the least messy. I got this Beacon glue sample a month ago from when I attended Alt Summit and decided to give it a try. I really like it! It's clear, not too messy, and doesn't wrinkle the paper when it dries (like some liquid glues tend to do). It was perfect for this paper-crafted wall art piece!
I used some foam squares to give it a raised look and added some rafia ribbon.
This customer wanted a frame included.

During my time in the quarantine blues (lol), my kids and I checked out TikTok. I gotta say, it's kinda addicting and very time consuming... almost like how Pinterest can be for me. But, that's another story! My daughter suggested I should start making videos. So... below, is my first TikTok video. There was sort of a learning curve in trying to make it... but I figured it out. I feel old. hah!
